Antique French military wall telephone (circa 1911-1920) – government issue, Saint-Étienne

A rare French military wall telephone from the early 20th century, made for use by the government and marked accordingly. This solid wooden wall telephone has the original metal receiver, the magneto crank mechanism, and the cloth-covered wiring, all showing a beautiful, genuine patina fitting its age.

The copper identification plate states Modèle 1911 and confirms official state ownership (Propriété de l'État). This type of telephone was used around the time of the First World War in military and institutional settings, making it a historically significant communication device.

The piece is offered as a collectible and decorative item. It has not been tested for modern telephone networks. All visible parts are original from that period. Signs of wear, surface marks, and aging are present and should be regarded as part of its character and authenticity.
