This compact, hand-knotted rug from the interwar period (circa 1920–1935) belongs to the tribal Baluch tradition. The deep indigo field forms a powerful backdrop for the central star medallion, framed by geometric floral and diamond motifs arranged in a stepped pattern.

The colors are rich yet natural: saturated red, warm brown tones, and subtle abrash in the blue create depth and movement. The contrast with the lighter border gives the whole piece an almost graphic appearance — strong, clear, and balanced.

Hand-knotted in wool on wool with a symmetrical knot structure, the rug feels supple yet sturdy. The pile is even, the edges and fringes are original, and for a piece of this age, it is in above-average condition.
