This grand vintage carpet is a splendid example of the sturdy highland tradition from West Asia, where geometry, color, and craftsmanship come together in one design. The star-shaped medallion forms the beating heart of the rug, framed by corner motifs in ivory, deep blue, and warm red tones.

The wool pile is exceptionally strong and tightly knotted, clearly seen in the weight of 26 kilos – a sign of quality and long durability. The carpet feels solid, warm, and luxurious underfoot. The subtle color variations (abrash) in the red and blue give the whole a soft, lived-in glow that only appears after decades of use.

The composition is striking yet harmonious: lively enough to support an interior, restrained enough to blend effortlessly with various styles. From mid-century and modern to bohemian, eclectic, and classic.
