This is a rug that makes its presence felt.

 Everything comes together in this almost square, hand-knotted rug: rhythm, symbolism, and silence. The deep indigo and smoky brown-gray form a tranquil field in which geometric signs seem to move of their own accord. The central cross motif—with hook-shaped extensions—feels almost talismanic, as though it was intended to protect, mark, and preserve.

The wool is soft and lively, with a patina that only time can create. Not a sleek showroom piece, but a textile bearing traces of use and meaning. It was probably once made as a saddle rug, cushion rug, or ceremonial object—today, a powerful small statement in an interior that leaves room for character.
